Yancey Signs To Play College Ball
Jennifer’s accomplishments are second to none. She has been a four year Varsity Starter and can compete at any position. Her freshman and sophomore year she played second base and moved to the shortstop position her junior year; she will do whatever it takes to help her team succeed. Her hard work and dedication has earned her a starting position every year she has played. Statistically, Jennifer has competed with the best and has put up numbers to back that up; her sophomore year she batted .475 while earning All Dekalb County Honorable Mention Award. Her junior season, she batted .466, with 1 HR, 12 RBI, 27 H (3rd in County), 34 R (1st in County), 21 1B (4th in County), 4 2B, 1 3B, 58 AB (4th in County), 20 BB (5th in County). In a leadership capacity, Jennifer as Co-Captain, has stepped up this year by being a positive role model to her teammates and peers.
Academically, she is as dedicated in the classroom as she has been on the diamond, illustrated by her overall GPA of 3.8 and 1030 SAT. She has received the President’s Education Award in 2006-2007. As a junior, Jennifer is taking two college level courses; AP Psychology and AP Language/Composition, and is a member of the Academy of Finance and the Student Government Association (SGA). Her coaches and teachers feel that she is well worth consideration at the college level. Jennifer is a prospect who will add value wherever she participates.
