Scouting Report – Weston Weiss SS/P  – Junior, Reynoldsburg H.S. Reynoldsburg, OH.  has verbally committed to play college baseball and been a high school Varsity starter in every game he’s competed in to date.  He batted .350 his freshman season and .400 during his sophomore year; in one of the most competitive conferences in Central Ohio.  So far in his young career Weston has lived up to his potential as a skilled and talented player evidenced by him being selected to the:  2009 2nd Team All-OCC, as well as being voted Team MVP for the 2009 Season.   His skills include being a very accomplished middle infielder (.935 FLD%) as well as a pitcher (.71 ERA 39 1/3 IP, 4 CG, 44 K’s) who throws: a fastball at 86 mph, has a nice 12-6 curve ball, a slider and a nasty change-up.  Weston also competes at the highest level in summer travel baseball.  He’s been a member of the well known Ohio Warhawks Team for the 2007, 2008 and the 2009 seasons and will play his 2010 summer ball with Team EAS Baseball.  Hard work off the diamond characterize Weston’s academics; he carries a 3.3 GPA as an Honor Roll student, and has recently taken the ACT exam and is awaiting results.  He is registered with the NCAA Clearing House.
