Scouting Report -  Patrick Anhut, 6’ 170 lbs. SS/2B, Class of 2013, Marist HS, Atlanta, GA. War Eagles; an exceptional dual sport scholar athlete with a work ethic on and off the field, which is second to none.  On the defensive side of the diamond Patrick is a solid SS/2B; his primary position is SS.  He’s confident in his abilities, fluid in his movement and mobility; a smart heads up player with leadership qualities!  On the offensive side of the diamond Patrick has a solid bat, is a great contact hitter and bats in the two hole on his East Cobb Royals Travel Team: Coached by Jay Witherspoon (contact info listed below).  He’s a heads up base runner who reads signs well; very smart and aggressive on the base paths.  Coach Witherspoon is quoted as saying,” You can build a team around a player like Patrick, .. he’s a model kid.”
Academically Patrick is a stellar student carrying a 3.88 GPA, has taken AP Courses: U.S & European History, Biology, – Honors Math & Science and is a member of the National Honor Society. His SAT Scores are: 700 Math, 620 Verbal, 700 Writing – SAT II score: 640 Biology, 670 Spanish.
