Scouting Report – Randi Renee Phillips, SS/OF/P, 5′ 8″ Bats Both Sides, Throws Right, Junior Carrollton HS, Carrollton, GA. -2011 ALL AREA MVP PITCHER OF THE YEAR,  2009/2010 Most Outstanding Varsity Player – Softball.  Freshman year she saw time as an infielder (starting 2B) and as a pitcher.  Sophomore year Randi was selected as the West GA. Area Player of the Year and made the All Region Team 6AAA.  Due to her athleticism and versatility in Game 10, sophomore  year, Randi was moved from 2nd base to catcher after the starting catcher suffered an injury. Her THO% that year was 52% with 7 pick offs .  Junior year, now complete, saw her excelling above expectations.  Her 2011 Statistics were off the charts, Randi’s Pitching numbers were: 22 W & 8 L, 157 K’s, 1.35 ERA, 197.1 IP, 30 G, 29 GS, with 26 CG.  Defensively she had 34 PO, with 108 A and a .986 FLD%.  Offensively she batted .459, played 33 G, 109 AB, 36 R, 50 H, 12 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR, 15 RBI, .642 SLG%, .492 OB% and an OPS of 1.134.
Randi has 1 more year at the high school varsity level yet to go in her career and competes year round on the elite travel ball circuit.  She will be competing with the Georgia Combat for the 2012 season coached by Mike Fuller.  Academically Randi is as dedicated in the classroom as she is on the diamond, carrying a 3.9 GPA College Prep.
