Scouting Report – Andrew Gronski, Dual Sport Athlete, Basketball, Baseball – 3B/C/P,  6′- 200 lbs. Junior, Hilliard Davidson H.S. Hilliard, OH. As a Varsity Baseball Player (Bats L, Throws R) he started 30 out of 31 games his sophomore season; he caught, played 3B and pitched, while batting an impressive .398 with a .583 SLG%.   He was instrumental in helping his team become the Central Ohio District Baseball Champions and Regional Semi-Finalists for the 2009 season; one of the most competitive conferences in the state of Ohio.   Andrew receives high praise from his teammates, who call him “Ski”,  and is a man of few words.  He is quiet in nature until he steps into the batter’s box where he is a hard out and exhibits a smart baseball sense; often forcing the opposing pitcher to throw a lot of pitches going deep into the count.  He hits for average with power and defensively can cover any infield or outfield position.  In addition to helping his team become the Central Ohio District Champions, Andrew was selected to the 2009: 1st Team All-OCC Central, 2nd Team All-District, the Columbus Dispatch All-Metro Special Mention and was recognized by his peers and given the 2009 Top Hitter Award for Hilliard Davidson H.S.

Summer Travel Baseball – Andrew has competed on top level Travel Teams his whole career to include: the Central Ohio Sharks (2006), Ohio Warhawks (2007-2009), the Ohio State Championship Teams (Open Division 2006, 2007, 2008).  He will be playing on the Elite 18U Team EAS Baseball for the 2010 season coached by Jason Vest (vest@teameasbaseball.org).

Andrew is the complete package; he excels in the academic department as well and is carrying a 3.95 GPA,  scored a 29 on the ACT, is currently taking 4 A.P. classes and wants to major in Electrical Engineering in college.
