Wes Bancroft – P/3B – MVP, Braves 400 Club Selection, 1st Team All Dekalb County 2010 – Junior Dunwoody H.S. Dunwoody, GA. Starting Pitcher and 3rd Baseman for the Dunwoody Wildcats; 2007 State AAA Champions.

At 6’ 150 lbs. Wes is a crafty pitcher who has a number of pitches at his disposal. To date Wes has pitched in 14 games, started in 11, 3 complete games, has a 2.40 ERA, in 58.1 IP, with 57 SO and is #1 in the county in wins at 8 with 4 L.  He effectively throws a fastball, curve, and a cutter; all taught to him by his personal pitching coach, former 13 year MLB, Atlanta Braves Pitcher, Zane Smith.  Mr. Smith has been working with Wes on a regular basis; it is paying dividends as Wes was the #1 Starter for the 2010 high school season.

Offensively Wes batted at the number 2 spot  with the following season stats: 30 Games, .389 BA with 22 RBI, 4 2B, 1 3B, 28 H, 72 AB, .472 SLG%, .477 OB% and a .949 OPS. In addition to his pitching accomplishments, Wes is an effective infielder and starts at the 3B position when he’s not pitching.  Academically Wes is a 3.4 GPA/1590 SAT student who understands that hard work and dedication apply in the classroom as well as on the baseball diamond.
